One of a Kind Rain Cloud Nose Stud in Sterling Silver

I'm a big fan of the sound of rain on the roof; and was inspired to make a rain cloud nose stud. If it inspires you also, this piece might be just right for you.

No two clouds in the sky are alike, and no two clouds made by my hands are alike. These little clouds are all hand drawn and cut one at a time with metal shears; making each one an individual work of art. Your cloud will be your very own and entirely unique.

I hand craft these in nickel free sterling silver and distress them to depict a stormy cloud. I've chosen a blue opal for the stone. I think it's a great choice, but you might have another great idea. Contact me if you want to discuss other stone options.

Why will you like lab created opal?
• It saves you money without compromising quality and luster
• I use excellent quality stones that stand up to natural stones

  • stone is 4mm (a bit over 1/8")
  • nose stud is about 10mm x 7mm (3/8" x 1/4"). because of the hand cut cloud they will vary a bit in sizing. This is a large nose stud.

How To Choose Your Nose Stud Gauge and End Style

What is the nose jewelry gauge?

Gauge is the thickness of the part that goes through your piercing
20G is about the thickness of a regular earring post
18G is thicker than 20G
22G is thinner than 18G and 20G
24G is thinner yet

If you’re not sure, your own piercer, or a local piercer should be able to tell you your gauge

What are the different nose stud ends?

Screw ends point toward septum (see photos)
Screw end for left is your left nostril
Screw end for right is your right nostril
Bone ends are not threaded - they are a solid ball
Shaft lengths are 6.5mm
L ends are a straight shaft of 6.5’’ with a 5mm ‘tail’
Fishtail is a straight shaft of 17mm

If you have specialized requests for either gauge or end styles – for example 16G nose studs, or longer or shorter shaft lengths for nose studs, please contact me to discuss possible options.

I recommend this product
Brilliant opal is my go-to stud

This stud..THIS ONE...has become my favorite. (Okay, all of them are my favorite.) I wear it frequently and get compliments every time. The little cloud is a perfect “frame” and base for that stunning blue opal. It’s more than whimsical. It’s simply beautiful and I feel a little prettier when it adorns my face. Recommend!!
