How To Choose Your Nose Stud Gauge and End Style
What is the nose jewelry gauge?
Gauge is the thickness of the part that goes through your piercing
20G is about the thickness of a regular earring post
18G is thicker than 20G
22G is thinner than 18G and 20G
24G is thinner yet
If you’re not sure, your own piercer, or a local piercer should be able to tell you your gauge
What are the different nose stud ends?
Screw ends point toward septum (see photos)
Screw end for left is your left nostril
Screw end for right is your right nostril
Bone ends are not threaded - they are a solid ball
Shaft lengths are 6.5mm
L ends are a straight shaft of 6.5’’ with a 5mm ‘tail’
Fishtail is a straight shaft of 17mm
If you have specialized requests for either gauge or end styles – for example 16G nose studs, or longer or shorter shaft lengths for nose studs, please contact me to discuss possible options.

All of the nose studs are stunning. Beautifully made and exactly as shown on website. My only comment would be the length of the stem before it bends for the pig tail. I find it just a wee bit too long making the stud a bit loose in my nose. At times i have knocked a nose studflting with my hand or had them stuck on clothing and wripped it out. I have a plain silver pin with a shorter stem and it sits firmly in my nose and cannot be brushed out. This is not a criticism Darcey I love your work and have collected a number now ! Just an observation. I work at a school so a firm nose pin is important to me around kids!!! Thank you for your amazing work
