Celtic Butterfly Nose Stud
You know what's great about this butterfly nose stud? It's bold, and Celtic, and not at all tiny and fluttery.
I create this piece using sterling silver, antique it for definition, and polish until it gleams.
Sitting flat to the nose, it is:
- 8mm wide x 6mm high (approx 5/16" x 1/4")
- nickel free sterling silver
How To Choose Your Nose Stud Gauge and End Style
What is the nose jewelry gauge?
Gauge is the thickness of the part that goes through your piercing
20G is about the thickness of a regular earring post
18G is thicker than 20G
22G is thinner than 18G and 20G
24G is thinner yet
If you’re not sure, your own piercer, or a local piercer should be able to tell you your gauge
What are the different nose stud ends?
Screw ends point toward septum (see photos)
Screw end for left is your left nostril
Screw end for right is your right nostril
Bone ends are not threaded - they are a solid ball
Shaft lengths are 6.5mm
L ends are a straight shaft of 6.5’’ with a 5mm ‘tail’
Fishtail is a straight shaft of 17mm
If you have specialized requests for either gauge or end styles – for example 16G nose studs, or longer or shorter shaft lengths for nose studs, please contact me to discuss possible options.

Cutest Butterfly
This is my second nose screw, the first being a cute bee. This one fits just as perfect as the last one, and the design is amazing!!
Celtic butterfly
It’s absolutely beautiful. My original order got last in the United States postal service ( still haven’t received first order). I reached out to Darcey. She didn’t hesitate to make my order again. I also got the turquoise flower blossom, again a very stunning piece. Highly recommend to order from Rockyournose.
