Black Onyx in Sterling Silver Nose Stud
Everyone's going to ask you about it.
It's only natural when you're wearing something as unique as this bold black onyx nose stud. Firmly gripping a genuine gemstone, this sterling silver setting is the perfect choice.
- about 5mm round (3/16")
- about the size of an eraser at the end of a pencil
- 4mm (almost 1/8") genuine black onyx
- handcrafted in my home studio
How To Choose Your Nose Stud Gauge and End Style
What is the nose jewelry gauge?
Gauge is the thickness of the part that goes through your piercing
20G is about the thickness of a regular earring post
18G is thicker than 20G
22G is thinner than 18G and 20G
24G is thinner yet
If you’re not sure, your own piercer, or a local piercer should be able to tell you your gauge
What are the different nose stud ends?
Screw ends point toward septum (see photos)
Screw end for left is your left nostril
Screw end for right is your right nostril
Bone ends are not threaded - they are a solid ball
Shaft lengths are 6.5mm
L ends are a straight shaft of 6.5’’ with a 5mm ‘tail’
Fishtail is a straight shaft of 17mm
If you have specialized requests for either gauge or end styles – for example 16G nose studs, or longer or shorter shaft lengths for nose studs, please contact me to discuss possible options.
