Mexican Fire Opal Nose Stud in Sterling Silver
You know who you are when you wear this piece. Fearless! This fire opal nose stud is a showstopper.
I handcraft these to order in sterling silver and choose genuine Mexican fire opal as the focal point of this Nose Art.
It's a large statement piece at about 9mm high x 7mm wide (3/8" x 1/4").
• nickel free sterling silver
• genuine Mexican fire opal gemstone
How To Choose Your Nose Stud Gauge and End Style
What is the nose jewelry gauge?
Gauge is the thickness of the part that goes through your piercing
20G is about the thickness of a regular earring post
18G is thicker than 20G
22G is thinner than 18G and 20G
24G is thinner yet
If you’re not sure, your own piercer, or a local piercer should be able to tell you your gauge
What are the different nose stud ends?
Screw ends point toward septum (see photos)
Screw end for left is your left nostril
Screw end for right is your right nostril
Bone ends are not threaded - they are a solid ball
Shaft lengths are 6.5mm
L ends are a straight shaft of 6.5’’ with a 5mm ‘tail’
Fishtail is a straight shaft of 17mm
If you have specialized requests for either gauge or end styles – for example 16G nose studs, or longer or shorter shaft lengths for nose studs, please contact me to discuss possible options.
