You asked...so here it is! This is one of my most popular nose stud designs that I originally did with an amethyst stone (shown below). I was often asked to make it with a blue opal, so I thought I'd add it to my collection.

This is such a pretty piece! Reminding me of a lotus flower with it's pointed shape, it's a mid-sized nose stud that's big enough to be seen and appreciated.

  • 3mm (about 1/8") lab created blue opal
  • 8mm (5/16") high x 6mm (almost 1/4") wide
  • nickel free sterling silver

How to pick your gauge and end style

{{ GAUGE }}  is the thickness of the part that goes through your piercing
20G is about the thickness of a regular earring post
18G is thicker than 20G
22G is thinner than 18G and 20G
24G is thinner yet

If you’re not sure, your own piercer, or a local piercer should be able to tell you your gauge

 {{ ENDS }}

Screw ends point toward septum (see photos)
Screw end for left is your left nostril
Screw end for right is your right nostril
Bone ends are not threaded - they are a solid ball
Shaft lengths are 6.5mm
L ends are a straight shaft of 6.5’’ with a 5mm ‘tail’
Fishtail is a straight shaft of 17mm

If you have specialized requests for either gauge or end styles – for example 16G nose studs, or longer or shorter shaft lengths for nose studs, please contact me to discuss possible options.
